The Eckert in Grenzach-Wyhlen is the culinary flagship of the Wio Group: a starred restaurant with a hotel, right in the tri-border region between Germany, Switzerland and France.

Head chef Nicolai Wiedmer combines classic French cuisine with Asian precision and the finest regional produce from Southern Baden. His signature: honest, full of character, with a pronounced acidity.

Family-run since 2014, the Eckert offers not only its starred cuisine but also a hotel with 45 rooms and a suite – thoughtfully furnished with pieces from Vitra and Polyform.

At the heart of the house: the starred restaurant. Head chef Nicolai Wiedmer cooks classic French cuisine with Asian precision – devoted to the produce, rooted in the region, with a clear acidity.

Alongside it, the curated wine pairing by sommelière Atlanta Lehmann – from the Markgräflerland and from all over the world. Reservations can be made conveniently via OpenTable or by phone.
